Permissions on Google Workspace

In order to ingest email to generate email statistics, Email Meter connects to your mailboxes using the Gmail API. This page lists the permissions that Email Meter requires and provides information on what each permission is used for.

Scope	Description	Used for
gmail.metadata	Read resources metadata including labels, history records, and email message headers, but not the message body or attachments.	This scope allows Email Meter to access email metadata, such as the email headers, to generate accurate email statistics.

Does Email Meter have access to the body or attachment of emails?

We never process or store the body or attachments of your emails because we don’t have access to them. The only information that we analyze are the headers which contain data such as: from, to, subject, label or date.
